As answered by people managing Intercom and WorkloadWall.
WorkloadWall's answer:
Three reasons to, and one reason not to.
Choose it if you do not want to assemble and then keep patching a stack. There is no web server, database or language runtime to install separately, and nothing is downloaded during setup.
Choose it if the people raising requests should be able to see the queue rather than just a form. That is the product's whole reason for existing.
Choose it if a one-time purchase per major version suits you better than a per-agent monthly bill that grows every time you hire. Requesters are never counted and never need an account.
Do not choose it if you need the source code. WorkloadWall's source is not published. osTicket, Zammad and FreeScout are open source and are the better answer for that requirement, and we would rather say so than have you find out after buying.
WorkloadWall's answer:
The wall. Most help desks give a requester a portal showing their own ticket and nothing else. WorkloadWall displays the entire open queue as anonymized post-it notes directly above the request form, so people can see what is already in the pile before they add to it. That changes how people ask, not just how the team tracks what was asked.
The second difference is the install. It is one download with no separate web server, database or language runtime to set up and keep patched, running on a Windows PC, a Linux box or Raspberry Pi, in Docker, or from a bootable image onto a machine with no operating system at all.
WorkloadWall's answer:
The department a building sends its work to: IT, facilities and maintenance, operations, office admin. Typically one to ten staff taking requests from everyone else, and up to twenty-five on the larger edition. The people raising those requests are not counted against the license and never need an account, so the size that matters is the team doing the work, not the building around it.
A second audience, with the optional Jobs add-on, is trades whose requests are jobs at a customer address: handymen, landscapers, general contractors, property maintenance. That adds customers and properties, scheduling, quotes accepted by link, invoices and a day sheet for the phone.
It is a poor fit for anyone who wants a vendor-hosted service with no machine of their own to run, and for anyone who needs the source code.
WorkloadWall's answer:
It started from a specific frustration rather than a market analysis: a small team taking requests from an entire building, where nobody outside that team could see how much was already in the queue.
The result was predictable and not anyone's fault. People asked again because they had no idea where their request sat. They escalated because silence looks like being ignored. They stopped by the desk in person because that felt faster than waiting. Every ticketing system on offer tracked the work well and did nothing whatsoever about that problem, because they all assume the queue is the team's private business.
The wall was the answer: put the whole open pile, anonymized, where the people adding to it can see it, directly above the form they are about to fill in. Everything else in the product was built around keeping that board honest and current, because a board nobody trusts is worse than no board.
It is sold by DAGAZ LLC, a Wyoming company, and first shipped in September 2026.
WorkloadWall's answer:
It ships as a single self-contained install. The runtime, the web server and the database all live inside the download rather than being installed and patched separately, which is the main reason setup does not involve assembling a stack.
Ticket data is held in a SQLite database in one folder on the machine you install it on, so a backup is a copy of that folder and the file can be opened with ordinary SQLite tools that have nothing to do with us.
Builds exist for Windows 10/11 64-bit, 64-bit Linux with systemd including the Raspberry Pi 4 and 5, Docker on amd64 and arm64, and a bootable appliance image for a machine with no operating system. The Android companion app pairs to your own server by QR code.
The source is not published, so this is the level of detail documented publicly.
