  • What's a good place to ask "writer-y" research questions?
Ok, ok. Try stackexchange.com. You can sometimes find really detailed answers, like what would happen if you released full-grown T-Rex into the wild. - Source: Reddit / 22 days ago
  • Is there a Firefox plugin (or another option) that can show what cookies are being used/set (whether first or third party) on a specific website?
The problem is that 1) this is clunky AF, and 2) it doesn't tell me which cookie I blocked and isn't allowing me to view stackexchange.com. Additionally, I only see reddit cookies for this site and only Facebook cookies for that site, and don't even tell me that those are the only cookies Reddit or Facebook -- whilst in a container -- are using. - Source: Reddit / 25 days ago
  • If you had a world in a ring shape, how big would it have to in order to not see the ground "moving upward"
My calculations might be wildly wrong. Why not check on https://stackexchange.com ? - Source: Reddit / 2 months ago
  • ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID but certificate hasn't expired yet
I'm getting "Your connection is not private" with ERR_CERT_DATE_INVALID for certain sites, but the certificate date seems to be OK. For example, stackexchange.com gives the error, but the certificate's expiration date is 2022 Jan 2. Chrome gives the current date correctly. I'm also having this problem with Wikipedia and a number of other sites, but not Reddit. I cleared my cache and cookies, and even reinstalled... - Source: Reddit / 3 months ago
  • My Laptop only connects to some websites/apps
Next, it could be that your certificates are expired. Notably, DST Root CA X3 expired on September 1st, 2021. It's a widely used cert, and if your computer doesn't trust the replacement certificate, ISRG Root X1, it would cause a lot of connection issues. I know that https://stackexchange.com uses this cert and will not load without ISRG Root X1. Can you load this website on your PC's website? - Source: Reddit / 3 months ago
