If you are curious to find more interesting stuff, start here: – https://mojeek.com/ search engine with own index, totally different results - https://wiby.me/ another search engine, but "old school" kind of web sites. It does not mean that site cannot be new, but it just looks and feels like old school web pages. Funny way is use that "surprise me..." link there to find something -... Source: 5 months ago
Search engines. Search engines have a massive hand when it comes to centralising. Both Google and Bing prioritise centralised services no matter how irrelevant their pages are. Just try an independent engine like https://mojeek.com and see for yourself how vastly different the surfing experience is. It's like you're back to the time when the internet was accessible and not centralised to a few Big Tech apps and... - Source: Hacker News / 7 months ago
DuckDuckGo is really good when it comes to privacy, but just as bad as google with showing information. Even though it doesn't tell you most of the top results on DuckDuckGo are ads, they paid to be the top results. It also tends to filter out non politically correct information. I haven't been able to find any real alternative to this except maybe Swisscows and Mojeek. These search engines provide fully... Source: about 1 year ago
Google is notorious for manipulatively tailoring search results. If you want to search controversial subjects try out something like mojeek.com or presearch.org and you'll likely get dramatically different results. These also respect privacy. Source: about 1 year ago
Now I use yandex.com isn't only literal but unbiased (also you can go directly to the image in the highest resolution that the site has indexed; as Google was in the past). I tested mojeek.com sadly they don't allow " or dorks. Source: over 1 year ago
Use search engines like mojeek.com and presearch.org, google is a propaganda platform. Here you'll find that Pfaith is a play on words with Pfizer and the dogmas that were pushed on the population. Source: over 1 year ago
Mojeek.com has its own index and looks promising. Presearch.org is also interesting. Source: over 1 year ago
We've got niche sites, and you can turn off wiki if you want: https://mojeek.com or https://www.mojeek.com/?ib=0 without Wikipedia (you can also deselect this in Preferences). Source: over 1 year ago
I use brave, google (for technical subjects when I can't find answer with brave), and for anything that has a remote chance to be censored I use engines with their own crawlers : fireball.de, gigablast.com, yandex.com and other browsers to be sure but I don't think they have their own crawler : lycos.com, swisscows.com, mojeek.com, metager.de. We would need a locally served meta search engine that search on all... Source: over 1 year ago
Mojeek.com, they have their own crawler, and metager.org for uncensored results. You can tell whether they are censored by searching for Russia, if rt.com doesn't appear it is not organic. Source: about 2 years ago
Mojeek.com (British search engine, never used it, they claim to have no bias, I can't say how true it is). Source: about 2 years ago
I am trying out mojeek.com for a while...I like it off first review. Source: about 2 years ago
Mostly yes, but also Yandex, Wikipedia, etc. But for reference the https://mojeek.com is actually an independent search engine, with own index and crawler. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
Mojeek is great for privacy, and has a completely independent index, but its actual results aren't that great. Source: over 2 years ago
Try using mojeek.com and the results wont be biased. Source: almost 3 years ago
If you search for "odysee" on Google or Startpage (which scrapes Google), odysee.com will show up in the first 5 results. It also shows up on mojeek.com (an independent index) and Gigablast if you search for "odysee.com" (another independent index). Source: almost 3 years ago
