The application is built completely on modern, lightweight frontend technologies. We used Alpine.js for reactivity, Tailwind CSS v3 for styling, and the HTML5 Canvas API combined with Vanilla JavaScript for the client-side image processing and compression.

The tool was born out of frustration with existing image converters that are cluttered with ads, painfully slow, and require uploading sensitive, private images to unknown servers. I wanted to build a lightning-fast, secure, and privacy-first solution. So, I created a tool that leverages browser technology to handle everything locally, ensuring speed and safety.
