Not any social medias, not a single review on trustpilot, not a single piece of verifiable information that their thing is legit, nothing. And also the weird thing that I saw is when you go take their survey so they can take your commission, they sent you to a weird โtypeform.comโ link which apparently is a website that allowed them to have a web based platform they can use to create surveys without needing to... Open source is rarely free as in free beer. Many have a non-commercial use clause GPL-like licenses, Patent liabilities, and if you are a business you pay per seat for the current compiled binary install/support. The fact is, if people really want to pirate work... There is no way to capture every user sale. Also, I didn't see it mentioned, but if it's environments that you are mostly after, one possible solution is to use HDRIs for the background. Obviously those are more limiting than a proper 3D environment but might be good if you are just doing static, one-off shots. As for rule 2 compliance, you may recall from the last post, I textured the duck with an image from unsplash. I used a terrain texture from polyhaven.com (was texturehaven.com back when I downloaded it.) I honestly cannot remember which tool I got the heightmap from, it was so long ago.
