  • Learning Curve for Complex Events
While basic functionality is straightforward, planning larger or more complex events with many constraints (e.g., guest conflicts, accessibility needs) can require time to learn and configure the software's advanced features.
  • Limited Integration Options
The software may have limited integrations with other popular event planning, CRM, or wedding planning platforms, requiring manual data entry or import/export workarounds to sync guest information.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing EasySeatingChart and Table-plan.com.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

EasySeatingChart's answer

Choose EasySeatingChart when you need to make a usable seating plan quickly without creating an account or uploading a guest list. It focuses on the essentials: table capacity, drag-and-drop placement, printable charts, and keep-apart rules for real-world constraints. It is free to use and works directly in the browser.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

EasySeatingChart's answer

The primary audience is people organizing small to medium seating plans: couples and wedding planners, dinner and event hosts, teachers arranging classrooms, and anyone who needs to place people at tables while respecting capacity and keep-apart constraints.

What's the story behind your product?

EasySeatingChart's answer

EasySeatingChart was created to make a frustrating planning task less complicated. Spreadsheets and generic diagram tools do not help when specific people must stay apart or tables have limited capacity. The product keeps the workflow focused: start with names and tables, then turn those real constraints into a clear seating plan.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

EasySeatingChart's answer

EasySeatingChart is built with Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS. The interactive seating workflow runs in the browser using native drag-and-drop and local browser storage, so lists are not sent to an application server. The site is deployed as a static web application on Cloudflare Pages.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

EasySeatingChart's answer

  • EasySeatingChart is a self-serve tool and does not publish customer names.
  • User data, including guest and student lists, remains private in the user's browser.

What makes your product unique?

EasySeatingChart's answer

EasySeatingChart combines drag-and-drop seating plans with Together/Apart relationship rules and auto-arrange. The free local planner includes two rules and printable export without an account. Together means the same table; Apart means different tables. Local plans stay in the browser. An optional Event Pass adds unlimited rules and cloud features for one event; using cloud features uploads that event to your account.
