I built QuickWorkForm because I've lived through every version of a job going sideways — a client refusing to pay, no proof of the damage that was already there before I started, a customer swearing "much more" was included than what we'd actually agreed to. A handshake doesn't hold up anymore. What protects you is details — not a mountain of paperwork, just the basics, captured on the spot. With how far AI tools have come, someone like me — no coding background — could finally build the thing I'd wished existed for years. I built it because the frustration was always there, and so was watching other contractors deal with the same horror stories, but every existing option was either a subscription I couldn't justify or a bloated platform too complicated to bother with. The timing was finally right, and it didn't cost a fortune to fix it myself.

Team permissions and accountant exports also support the people helping the owner run the business.

Tools like Jobber, Housecall Pro, and HoneyBook are built for larger operations and charge $30-$300+ per month whether you use them or not. QuickWorkForm is built for the solo contractor or small crew who needs the same core protection — a signed agreement, a documented deposit, a clear paper trail — without paying a subscription to get it. It's fast enough to use standing on a jobsite, and the free calculators (hourly rate, estimating, and spotting scope creep) are useful on their own, even before someone becomes a paying user.

Most competitors in this space either charge recurring fees for an all-in-one CRM built for larger operations, or only solve one piece of the job (just quotes, or just invoicing). QuickWorkForm is built specifically for the moment a solo tradesperson is standing in front of a customer and needs a professional, signed agreement on the spot — not back at a desk, not through a separate app for each step.

Papertools brings plain-language business tools and proper double-entry bookkeeping into the same workspace. Owners can focus on what happened in their business while the accounting structure works underneath.

Quick Journal shows how that works: choose a familiar situation, such as putting your own money into the business or buying equipment, and answer straightforward questions to create the bookkeeping entry. Starting Position helps an existing business bring across its opening balances, assets and debts.
