If you have an issue with say a blue which is too light you can usually darken it, whilst still keeping the overall colour pallet. This won't work with colours like green, orange or gold as they don't darken nicely. It's my go to tool when picking colors: https://paletton.com/ You start with the base, and then also get gradients to adjacent colors in the palette. Yeah, but the freelanchers I got suggested by codeable.io had a fee of over 1000 dollar. I'm just a student and it's for a small recreative project I'm working on as an interest and a challenge. So I'm trying to do it with just the help of the internet. Source: over 4 years ago
That said, one resource I've found to be very helpful is codeable. They vet the developers for you. It's worked great for the type of business I run, where I need people for certain parts of projects, but I'm not a big enough company to actually hire full-time roles.
