Realizing its potential to help other organizations manage their room and resources bookings, it was first commercially released in early 2006. In the twenty years since, MIDAS remains in active development, with several feature-rich updates released every year and trusted by a worldwide customer base. MIDAS is written in Perl - a language commonly found on almost all web servers, and which can be readily installed on those without. The backend database supports both MySQL and MariaDB, and the front end is a mix of HTML, CSS and Javascript

I selected this library as I normally use much higher-level tools to develop games such as p5.js, or GDevelop. Both these tools are amazing in their own right; however, I want to learn how these processes operate on a much lower level.
