Haha, I'm glad! I'm a frontend dev and, unfortunately, usually just grab a loading animation off of https://loading.io/. Now I kinda wish I'd thought to go look at how your animation is done - is it a gif under the hood, or is it a cool canvas thing? I'm not sure if your 4.5yo is old enough to try Scratch[1] but nothing is too young these days. My elder got into Scratch around that time. My four year old was kicked out of his preschool class, and the school recommended I set him up with applied behavioral analysis.
