Witnes is a performance monitoring tool that gives you a per-session breakdown of how your website actually loaded for each visitor. Unlike aggregate metrics that hide outliers, Witnes records every page load individually โ€” showing you the frontend rendering time, backend response, network conditions, and payload size in one view. It's built for modern web apps where traditional analytics fall short: SPAs, hybrid frameworks, and pages with deferred content that make standard Web Vitals misleading. When a customer reports that your site was slow, Witnes gives you an X-ray link to see exactly what they experienced โ€” no guessing, no reproducing in-house.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Google Analytics and Witnes.io.

What makes your product unique?

Witnes.io's answer:

Per-session visibility โ€” instead of aggregate metrics that hide outliers, every individual page load is recorded so you can look up exactly what a specific user experienced, including a full network waterfall breakdown.

While it's also built for modern web applications.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Witnes.io's answer:

Most performance tools show you averages and percentiles โ€” useful, but they can't tell you why this customer had a bad experience. Witnes records every session individually so you can pull up any page load and see exactly what happened, without needing to reproduce it or wait for it to happen again.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Witnes.io's answer:

Development teams and customer support staff at companies with modern web apps who need to diagnose specific user-reported performance issues.

What's the story behind your product?

Witnes.io's answer:

Built after spending a week trying to diagnose why customers kept reporting slow page loads, while all the metrics said everything was fine. The problem turned out to be that standard analytics weren't built for modern web apps โ€” they measure server delivery but miss what happens after the JavaScript bundle lands. Witnes was built to close that gap.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Witnes.io's answer:

The core is its javascript tracker, which is added on every page load. The backend is supported by c# dotnet 10 and postgresql at its core. The frontend is built using Astro and React
