Interesting. I actually prefer when agents don't commit on my behalf unless I explicitly say so, I even had to add a custom instruction for Claude to stop doing it (Codex never does it). Lazygit is great, I use it all the time for straight forward git-fu. But if you do any advanced work that involves merging a complex codebase across multiple branches and having to manage your load of conflicts, I find Fork[1] (the free version does fine) still takes the cake for that, as the clarity and lack of keyboard bindings, is essential; to make good, conscious decisions. I find gnome-look.org aka pling.com really bad for finding gnome shell themes cos you never know if the theme is compatible with your gnome version. Source: almost 4 years ago

I'd recommend Debian (non-free if you have some issues with WiFi and/or bluetooth) + xfce. It might not look good to some, but you can always change that on linux. Head over to https://pling.com for theme customization. Source: over 4 years ago
