I wasn't satisfied with the Automator way to make a new-terminal shortcut, it was kinda slow, and not 100% reliable. I found FastScripts and was able to make it fast and reliable. Try rectangle if youโre on mac. Itโs a window manager and you can config hot keys to move windows around. For example I keep my large monitor split in 3, with a window in each third.
