Totally agree on the security risk. On the other hand setting up, maintaining and explaining PGP for non-technical users usually leads to not using encryption at all, which is by far less secure than a self-managed PGP gateway on a private mail server setup. I used to solely depend on Wayback machine to automate archiving pages, now I am archiving webpages using selenium python package on https://archive.ph/ and https://ghostarchive.org/ This told me not to depend on 3rd party parties. Twitter seems to have made an exception for archiving via the Internet Archive, so you can view tweets and profiles via https://web.archive.org/save if needed.
