  • how do you handle your podcasts transcription and timestamps
For transcripts, I use Descript. Descript is able to identify all four of our panel members, and I usually spend an hour or so cleaning it up and setting the transcript into a video for YouTube. Source: about 1 year ago
  • looking for video editor that auto cuts conversations
I don't understand exactly what you are trying to do, but I'm pretty sure Descript can do what you want. Source: over 1 year ago
  • What is your preferred way to make a voice-over?
I tried to use descript.com but found out that they didn't have a download for Linux and that their online version doesn't allow you to edit your transcript. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Needing some assistances
Edit your audio with software like Descript or Audacity. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Video snippit of your episode text animation recommendations
Looks like an 'audiogram' from descript.com - you can make them on their paid service. Source: about 2 years ago

  • Whisper includes ads in transcription?
Man, just happened the same to me. I was transcribing some clases using the large model and theres a point in the video that the teacher gets a 5 minute break, and what happens? I get the following (https://imgur.com/a/8HQdpng). It is in spanish but says, brought by amara.org, which is a web that subtitltles things and then a lot of ads. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Need a time coded translation service
Https://amara.org/ ? You just link your video, and volunteers can/will translate it to whatever language you want. Source: over 1 year ago
  • BBC's Modi Documentary - Indian Language Subtitling Project
You could use amara.org for a free and opensource web-based translation tool. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Unfortunate YouTube Closed Captioning.
The best thing is Amara, and is in fact what Google shunted in place when they removed community captioning, giving creators a whole 3 months (or something similarly piddly) of one of their paid services for free. It's not an equivalent experience though, as folks have to go elsewhere AND know a volunteer-captioned video exists in the first place. Separate but equal is not equal. Source: over 1 year ago
