The approach that I favour is to use Cython. The nice thing with this approach is that your code is still written as (almost) Python, but so long as you define all required types correctly it will automatically create the C extension for you. Any getsitecontrol.com alternatives that can be recommended. Granted it is very easy to use and we use it simply to put up banners and some limited marketing stuff. But $45/month($1740/year) for 5 sites is limiting. That can't be the norm. Source: over 3 years ago
