So, something very strange happened to me for the first time. I was denied boarding on a Lufthansa flight. The staff at the airport kept changing their excuse, and every time they came up with something, I had to prove it was wrong. (for example they said the ticket which I got online (trip.com) was paid in cash, then they said I need a transit visa which I did not need...) in the end they said they can't let me... Skyscanner at times lead to websites such as trip.com which provides a ticket confirmation after 48 hours. I read somewhere that these thrid-party websites do bulk booking with airlines in order to gain bigger commissions. I book onced with trip.com and got the ticket within 48 hours. Alternatively if you are booking common routes, trip.com or Kiwi.com could hold the customers credit card details for you and middle man the transaction in a much safer way than holding the information yourself. Lijiang: I had initially booked a fast train between Guilin and Lijiang, it would have taken 11 hours to get there. Then I found a flight on trip.com for the same price: cancelled the train, got refunded and booked the flight everything by trip.com without any problem.
