  If it's any consolation, it was top billing on cnn.com yesterday, which is where I first saw it. Entire top left of the screen was the woman's face and a huge headline. Now it's buried in a couple lines below the (digital) fold. Source: 6 months ago

  FWIW, I had to disable the Wipr content filtering on cnn.com to see the web site. Guess I'll get my news fix from wapo.com, now. Source: 6 months ago

• cnn.com blocking browser because of uBlockOrigin with a message of "Browser Blocked" and to whitelist EasyList.

  I don't know what EasyList or uBlock are (i.e., I don't use those), but I got blocked by cnn.com as well. Firefox on Mac. Turns out it was the "I don't care about cookies" extension (automatically accept consent requests). Once I disabled that for cnn, it worked again. Source: 7 months ago

  I think it would be more reasonable to judge whether it is promotion according to its content, quality, purpose, instead of domain name. I totally agree one should get flagged if one posts the same product or application for the same use case again and again. But in my situation, they are different tools for different use cases.
