Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Basecamp and SmartPlanner.tech.

What makes your product unique?

SmartPlanner.tech's answer:

Smart Planner is a guest logistics OS for weddings and large multi-day celebrations - one dashboard for guest CRM, multi-venue room allocation, pickup/drop, KYC, guest pages, and white-label WhatsApp logistics updates. It is built for event-week ops desks, not as a wedding-website builder or invite-only RSVP app.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

SmartPlanner.tech's answer:

Choose Smart Planner when rooms, transfers, KYC, and shared live boards matter more than WhatsApp invites or wedding ERP (budget/gifts). Smart Planner wins on celebration-week logistics depth and team workflows.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

SmartPlanner.tech's answer:

Professional wedding/event planners, family logistics teams, and hospitality desks running hotel or resort blocks for multi-day celebrations - especially teams managing 100–500+ guests across venues.

What's the story behind your product?

SmartPlanner.tech's answer:

Smart Planner started from real celebration-week chaos - room lists in Excel, pickup details in WhatsApp threads, and reception hunting for answers at midnight. We built one system of record for guests, rooms, transfers, KYC, and logistics WhatsApp so hosts and planners can run the week without spreadsheet forks.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

SmartPlanner.tech's answer:

Web application (React) with a cloud backend API, hosted for production use as a browser and installable PWA. Messaging and logistics workflows integrate with WhatsApp for guest updates.

Who are some of the biggest customers of your product?

SmartPlanner.tech's answer:

  • Multi-day wedding logistics teams in India (Karad and destination celebrations)
  • Resort / hospitality desks coordinating rooming and guest transfers
  • Family-run large celebrations using Smart Planner for rooms, KYC, and WhatsApp updates
