How do you add them? I am using https://actualbudget.org as a Safari page, and it works surprisingly well when "off network" - but a button on the home screen would be nicer. - Source: Hacker News / 3 months ago
For this I recommend https://actualbudget.com/ . It is in many ways like You Need A Budget but you can host it yourself for free. - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
For that very reason I tried selfhosting Actual Finance[1] but it is more of a budgeting app than a networth tracking app. I ended up coding a small exporter[2] since I already had some stack in place that queries SimpleFI[3], which essentially allows querying balance and transaction information for most US-based banks (read only); most similar to plaid but a lot more developer-friendly afaik. I use Actual budget. Itโs open source, free, but youโll have to figure out hosting. Bank sync is currently provided in North America by SimpleFin ($15/year) And in Europe by GoCardless I host mine in a Docker container on my NAS. Conclusion Next time Git insists a private repository doesn't exist, skip editing your config file and head straight to the Windows Credential Manager. Wiping out the stale git:https://github.com entry forces a clean handshake, getting you back to coding in less than a minute. - Source: dev.to / 14 days ago
Gitea is where all private repositories live: infra configs, personal projects, anything I don't want on a third-party server. Public projects still go to GitHub because that's where the audience is, but a number of those GitHub repositories are mirrored back to Gitea as a local backup. The split is simple: Gitea for control and resilience, GitHub for reach. - Source: dev.to / 15 days ago
