First off, you need to own the land you're building on, which is not exactly easy with $0. Building anything anywhere that you do not own is trespassing and squatting, which rural communities especially hate, and will quickly launch you into being the focus of some stranger danger vibes. Sure, you can look at cheap land on landandfarm.com but the cheap stuff is cheap for a reason.
