  Reliably good controller support is present in Verok's BO1 patch. The others games don't offer good controller support. You can try using a third party solution like JoyToKey or reWASD. There's also Xpadder and apparently Steam's Big Picture mode allows for this as well but I don't know about either of these and can't vouch for them. Source: over 2 years ago

  I primarily use an Xbox One controller on PC and have found that holding down the right trigger button to drive for a long time puts a lot of strain on my right hand.
