(In most parts of the world). There is only one place to buy an index. And that's directly from steam. Everything else is a reseller. https://store.steampowered.com/valveindex. Source: 8 months ago
Which benefits do you gain from buying the Chinese Vive Pro or Pro 2 instead of the superior Valve Index? - asking since you already have a Quest 2 for PCVR. I was underwhelmed by the mediocre performance, short durability and abysmal support on my HTC Vive Pro. Source: about 1 year ago

Also, you could get a Valve Index, which has lower resolution screens than the above mentioned VR headsets, but it still has the best tracking and connectivity. In my opinion, this is still the best PCVR headset. Source: over 1 year ago
If new, I'd probably go with the Valve Index. you'll get the headset, two v2 base stations, and the Index controllers. This kit doesn't require any additional software, beyond SteamVR. You can add some Vive Trackers to the mix and get your full body tracking. Source: over 1 year ago
A lot depends on your PC specs, but if you have $600 to spend on a monitor just go a head and buy into VR https://www.hp.com/us-en/vr/reverb-g2-vr-headset.html or https://store.steampowered.com/valveindex. Source: over 1 year ago
You could just go take a look. They have product pages after all. Also, "Create Post" is not Google. https://store.steampowered.com/valveindex. Source: over 1 year ago
BIG NOTE: The Valve Index is a VERY FRAGILE device. Warranty is only 1 year, so if your Index breaks after that, you’ll have to pay a pretty penny for new parts. You can get individual Valve Index parts at IFIXIT for the headset, controllers, and basestations. Or, you can get full replacements in Steam. Source: over 1 year ago
Https://store.steampowered.com/valveindex This is an interesting index fund…. Source: over 1 year ago
It's literally in-stock https://store.steampowered.com/valveindex I think it's worth buying direct from valve because of the warranty. They tend to cover you past the 1-yr warranty period as a customer service gesture which is awesome. Source: over 1 year ago
If you have a good Index-ready PC and have a thousand dollars to use on a headset then y e s (link to get an index I guess (I'm sure you already know where to get it though and just came here to get everyone's opinions)). Source: over 1 year ago
But if I were to recommend you a VR Headset that'll give you the best experience VR has to offer, I'd recommend you getting a Valve Index. Source: over 1 year ago
TLDR: Cheap: Quest 2 - Cheap. No Base Stations. Meta is evil. Positives: RE4 VR is exclusive to this and the only reason I own one. Image Resolution: HP G2 - Highest Resolution, Stole the Index Speakers, No Base Stations Streamer: Valve Index - Studio Quality Mic, Speakers so good the G2 stole them, Better Performance Options for Streamers, more adaptable to full body tracking and other room-scale games. Still $999.99 on Steam so I'm not sure where the $1200 figure came from. Source: almost 2 years ago
Valve Index Knuckle Controllers - Thumbsticks, finger tracking. Preferred option but not available in all countries and often out of stock. Source: almost 2 years ago
I'm using a Valve Index that I got in 2019, connected to a PC that's running very close to the latest and greatest hardware (linked PC has the same same specs as mine, but I have a different case.). Source: about 2 years ago
What we're saying is that you need to check selling history. Can you buy this? https://store.steampowered.com/valveindex. Source: about 2 years ago
Commonly, Valve is the gaming company behind Half-life/Portal/Dota 2. More importantly, they run Steam, which is far and away the biggest video-game marketplace for PC, giving them a huge install base and a huge revenue base. Steam is also the largest PC VR ecosystem, being used by pretty much every major non-Oculus PC headset, including their own, the Valve Index. The Index is probably the pre-eminent luxury VR... Valve index This is the valve index. It’s more comfortable and has higher framerates, finger tracking, full body tracking capabilities, superior audio, and doesn’t require a $50 extra strap to make it wearable. Source: about 2 years ago
