I've been going to F45 for over a year now, and it has completely changed my workout routine. I go almost every day, and I love it. I also love data and tracking my progression, so when they announced a Strava integration in 2024, I was very excited to use it. I wear the Lionheart monitor every time I go to track my heart rate and calories burned, and I love that it syncs to Strava so I can see my workouts in one... - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago

I downloaded the data for this one ride from Garmin Connect and uploaded it to Strava via the "Upload Activity" page on strava.com. The upload seemed to go just fine, but the ride STILL doesn't show up on my Strava dashboard. Source: about 3 years ago

Yes. My activity feed won't load, including activity feeds at the bottom of people's profiles. I cleared all the website data, cache, and cookies for strava.com out of Safari, reloaded, and it worked on the first load, but went back to being broken after that. Seems to work fine in Firefox though. Source: about 3 years ago

In terms of tracking, a free account at www.trainingpeaks.com should work for you - you can link it to Zwift and your rides will update automatically. There's also intervals.icu , which I think links to strava.com (and you can link zwift to strava and... This is all a bit technical). Anyway, something to play with. Source: over 3 years ago

I bought a bike when I moved to Utah, and I got obsessed with going far. (Friendship over with weightlifting, endurance biking is my best friend now.) I have done a few findagrave missions, some missions to neighboring towns (especially their restaurants), some to nearby state parks. I use strava.com to plan my routes, but I can't remember how it works if you don't sub. Biking is the best! Don't forget to eat... Source: over 4 years ago
Have everyone record their rides on strava.com to make it easy to see each other's progress. Be sure to choose the route ahead of time, and maybe make it a loop, otherwise you could just wait for a windy day and ride whichever direction gives you the best tailwind. Source: over 4 years ago

Strava, a prominent player in the health and fitness app sector, has garnered significant attention for its robust activity tracking capabilities, particularly in cycling and running. Strava enables users to record bike rides and runs via GPS technology, offering detailed analytics on metrics such as distance, pace, and elevation. This functionality is a staple for fitness enthusiasts who seek to monitor their performance and progression meticulously.
One of Stravaโs standout features is its strong social networking component, where users can connect with friends, share their achievements, and explore activities of others within their network. This social interaction is a compelling aspect for many users, making the platform not just a tool for activity tracking but also a community-centric space where members can motivate and challenge one another.
Despite fostering a vibrant community, user feedback reveals certain areas of dissatisfaction. Occasional technical issues have been reported, such as integration problems with devices or glitches with features like personal heatmaps or activity uploads. Furthermore, Strava's transition towards a more social network-like interface has not resonated with all users, with some preferring alternatives that prioritize fitness tracking over social interaction.
Competitively, Strava faces a dynamic landscape with numerous alternatives like RunKeeper, Runtastic, and MyFitnessPal presenting unique features that cater to varying user preferences. Notably, Strava is often compared in articles alongside alternatives, highlighting the appโs long-standing presence and influence in the sector. Many users and reviewers recognize Strava's compatibility with a multitude of fitness devices and applications, which seamlessly integrate Strava's data capabilities, thus extending its utility beyond mere app usage.
While Strava excels at its core functionalities, users seeking to avoid subscription fees have pointed out free alternatives that still provide comprehensive fitness tracking features. Additionally, in light of Stravaโs premium features, some users debate the value of subscription versions against free competitors, reflecting a diverse market where value considerations are salient.
In recent discussions, articles emphasize the trend of innovation in the app development realm, urging the exploration of Strava-like feature sets while acknowledging Strava's benchmarking stature. Interestingly, cycling-focused content has positioned Strava as a surprisingly competent navigation tool, although it is not primarily marketed for route creation.
To conclude, public opinion on Strava remains largely positive, particularly for its social interactions and detailed fitness tracking. However, the evolution towards social networking elements and persistent technical challenges highlight the need for developers to fine-tune user experiences continuously. Strava's position within a competitive environment underscores its established brand identity, while also indicating areas of potential improvement and adaptation to maintain its leading industry status.
