  • Not sure what changed in Teamviewer's Detection scripts But it is no longer allowing Free Non-Commercial use for me. Can Teamviewer provide Home licenses or something to prevent their terrible auto detection from pushing me onto another Remote desktop service?
Take the hint, don't fight the push. TV doesn't want you freeloading non-commercials. I recommend Rustdesk. Source: about 1 year ago

Lol they ruined it when they started requiring an account. My friend and I used it like 4 months ago, and then we needed it like 1 month ago and it required an account suddenly. Frick that. We just used a better and open source one. https://rustdesk.com/. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Anyone using Boox for coding?
Then I either use SSH via Termux (with vim, nano or whatever you prefer) or just get full remote desktop access via RustDesk, as I already described here. The lack of coloured syntax highlighting prevents me from using it more for coding, but Tab Ultra C might be great for it! Let us know if you try it. :). Source: over 1 year ago

For remote access to desktop applications from Tab Ultra, I use RustDesk with a self-hosted server. It works fine if you need something more than SSH (for me, it is checking up on 3D simulations). Source: over 1 year ago

  • remote desktop built in or do I need to install something?
Personally I'm a fan of Rustdesk. The only real downside is it (still) doesn't work with Wayland. I'm a Nvidia user, so that isn't a deal breaker for me, yet, luckily. NoMachine is also pretty good. Both should be in the AUR. Source: over 1 year ago
  • Tips & Tricks for Productivity with BOOX (Obsidian, Syncthing, Weylus, RustDesk, Termux, KDE Connect, ZeroTier) + 2 Bonus Screensavers
Ever wanted to remotely access your desktop from anywhere, then tried software like TeamViewer, but it eventually stopped working? Try open source RustDesk that is simple to set up, and you can even self-host your own rendezvous/relay server (or use the free public server).
