Articles never stayed in a “bucket” but they flow every day. Not worth reading, ignore it.   I can attest to this. The UX is quite bad. I run a small SaaS[0] and had a hard time explaining to my users on how to enable the Safari extension. The UX to use is not as nice either.   I think the reason RSS is not appealing to content creators is because authors don't "own" the email list. And it's quite difficult to have paid content delivered via RSS (still pretty much open/sharable) But from reader perspective, RSS is awesome. You don't have to deal with all the email subscriptions.
