I needed to compress a PDF with confidential business data. Every free tool I found wanted me to upload the file to their server. I didn't want my data on someone else's computer. So I built a tool that processes files entirely in the browser. One tool became five, five became thirty. Built as a solo founder in Prague using Next.js ... to make it really fast. Launched March 2026.
Next.js 14 (React framework), Tailwind CSS, Supabase (auth), Stripe (payments). File processing: pdf-lib for PDF manipulation, Canvas API for image processing, Tesseract.js for OCR, JSZip for archive handling, heic2any for HEIC conversion. All processing libraries run client-side in the browser. The tool processing functions are open source under MIT license at github.com/fileGOD/file-tools.
