  • Minecraft server
Coming from someone who has been doing this for quite some time, I highly recommend you look into using Crafty Controller as your server manager and have that just installed on a Debian or Ubuntu VM or Container since it seems that’s the flavor you’re used to. I really is the easiest server manager I’ve seen in a long time! Incredibly flexible and if you really wanted to, you could run it on a Windows VM too. Source: 10 months ago
  • Minecraft server
I use a Docker version of Crafty Controller, with an Infrared reverse proxy (also in Docker) to host multiple servers on my IP via different URLs. Source: 10 months ago
  • How to host minecraft server on your home server?
Second this. It has a web gui and is lightweight. If you go another route just Linux for example, you can also check out Crafty Controller. It’s a great MC admin portal https://craftycontrol.com. Source: over 1 year ago

  • Good game panel (not Pterodactyl)

  • Build - Plex and Minecraft
With this huge budget you can easily go for 13900k + z790 + 128GB DDR5, tho considering your use an 13600k is great and you wouldn't need a beefy cooler, and getting 128GB DDR4 instead of DDR5 cut costs further more. For Minecraft server hosting VM is overkill and doesn't bring any performance advantage, aside from being bulkier to manage, personally I do recommend you this docker https://craftycontrol.com/, I've... • Building own server for the first time, and using Linux for the first time
Then I've seen people mention things that they call "panels" like Crafty or Pterodactyl. From what I understand this is more of an Interface program to more easily use, in this case, the minecraft server? I know that I would prefer to have it as a Virtual Machine, considering that then I don't need to get another screen and I don't neccesarily have to be home to troubleshoot and fix things etc. Source: over 1 year ago
  • How do even get started with software?
Start small. Pick an OS and get it installed, and familiarize yourself with the command line. It doesn't really matter what OS, as long as it's not Windows. Then, install one thing. Start simple; Minecraft is actually a good place, it has some basic maintenance that feels "server-y" without being overwhelming. I use Crafty Controller to run my server. Source: over 1 year ago
  • ATM8 1.0.13 Server Killed message
I found a few issues. 1 - I was capping my RAM usage on the Linux machine in part to a Docker Container utilizing 3 + gig of RAM for a personal application I had set up, as I haven't used it in some time I stopped the container which freed up a chunk. To see which process is using the most run this command in the CLI "ps -e -orss=,args= | sort -b -k1,1n", expect to see the Server at the bottom if its running and... Source: over 1 year ago

  • Which Linux Distro Is The Best?
The panels are good for setting up multiple different types of servers either for testing plugins for main server or having a weekly event server like hunger games skyblock or bed wars or putting main server on a archive adventure map when the next season starts. I like the free panel https://craftycontrol.com/ a lot also. Source: almost 2 years ago

Something like this would be awesome https://craftycontrol.com/. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • How can I mod a locally hosted 1.19.2 server without forge?
If you're rusty or confused there are easy to use server managers out there like the free crafty controller or the paid AMP. Both are good options for local hosting servers but AMP is a bit overkill for your needs I would say. Source: about 2 years ago

  • Multicraft Alternatives July 2022
Yes currently using https://craftycontrol.com/ as well. Had to drop back to 3.3.0 due to a problem with .jar files update path but it may be fixed by now. Have tried "ALL" the panels and my server admins like crafty the most followed by Multicraft Pterodactyl Pufferpanel windowsGSM tcadmin and AMP. I didn't try opengamepanel or Wisp since I found crafty right before those two. Been using so many different... Source: over 2 years ago

A lot of people are recommending pterodactyl but it is quite big. I personaly use crafty controller cause its quite lightweight. You have to create servers manualy tho. Thats like the only bad part for me. Source: over 2 years ago
