How do I make sure a software is properly uninstalled?
I use a program called Revo Uninstaller found here. There is a paid and free version, I use the free version and it works fine. When you select a program to uninstall through Revo, it will launch the program's uninstaller first, then it will find leftover files/registry data and give you the choice to delete them. Installing packages without an internet connection?
It seems according to pkgsrc.org that pkgin might follow the PKG_PATH environment variable. You're supposed to set PKG_PATH="http://cdn.NetBSD.org/pub/pkgsrc/packages/NetBSD/$(uname -p)/$(uname -r|cut -f '1 2' -d.)/All/", and according to uname(1), -p gives the processor architecture and -r gives the operating system [kernel] release.
