I do not want a different app for https://cnn.com, https://nytimes.com, https://dailymail.com.uk, https://nypost.com, https://washingtonpost.com, https://news.google.com. Why not just use a web browser instead to read web pages? Modern web browsers can display individual pixels where ever they like, what is this utter fascination with an "app" written in a different language which makes it legitimate or better? ... If it's any consolation, it was top billing on cnn.com yesterday, which is where I first saw it. Entire top left of the screen was the woman's face and a huge headline. Now it's buried in a couple lines below the (digital) fold. Source: 5 months ago

I don't know what EasyList or uBlock are (i.e., I don't use those), but I got blocked by cnn.com as well. Firefox on Mac. Turns out it was the "I don't care about cookies" extension (automatically accept consent requests). Once I disabled that for cnn, it worked again. Source: 5 months ago
