I do not want a different app for https://cnn.com, https://nytimes.com, https://dailymail.com.uk, https://nypost.com, https://washingtonpost.com, https://news.google.com. Why not just use a web browser instead to read web pages? Modern web browsers can display individual pixels where ever they like, what is this utter fascination with an "app" written in a different language which makes it legitimate or better? ... The washingtonpost.com has reader view enabled. If you don't know what that is, you need to shut up. If you do know what that is but don't use it, you need to shut up. If you just like to bitch so you can draw attention to yourself even though you may or may NOT know what this is, you need to shut up. Source: over 1 year ago
FYI if you happen to have a subscription, it's worth posting the gift link, so that friction for non-subscribers is reduced. The Washington Post generates a shortened link by default, but if you follow that link, it generates a regular washingtonpost.com URL which gives access to non-subscribers for a couple weeks. Anyone else seeing this warning from Malwarebytes when loading pages from washingtonpost.com? Malwarebytes reports in logs that site is making outbound connection to h.parrable.com and it is being tagged as trojan malware. Started about 4 or 5 days ago. Also I usually see no paywall, so a “‘“‘private’”’” tab or some combo of (1.) blocking cookies, (b.) deleting cookies for https://washingtonpost.com &c., and (iii.) blocking scripts (I use 1 & iii) should show you the content for free. Or rather, for no more than your time and ISP service, assuming you haven’t Demonstrated into the void against them yet. Source: over 1 year ago

I get my links by logging in to the WaPo site (washingtonpost.com) after midnight EDT. My Android phone connects automatically from a bookmark -- I must have pressed a "save this login" prompt many months ago. I do not use any WaPo app, I just use the Chrome browser on my phone. Some sources produce a mobile-optimized version of their website (for example https://en.m.wikipedia.org) but I don't think WaPo does.... Source: about 2 years ago
Ok I installed ublock origin and added https://washingtonpost.com to the filter list, restarted chrome and the wa post site still asks for a login. Source: about 2 years ago
Millennials are just not having children. The birth rate in the United States has dipped to 56 births per 1,000 women from the ages of 15-44. Women are expected to have 1.6 children in their lifetime instead of 1.8, which is the replacement rate.
