ViralNote turns one long recording into a week of platform-ready short clips, then auto-schedules and publishes them โ so podcasters, YouTubers, coaches, agencies, and founders never have to leave the tool to post.
AI detects the best moments in a long video, adds animated captions, and reframes to vertical (9:16) automatically. From one calendar, schedule to TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, X, and LinkedIn. Every plan includes a branded, searchable creator mini-page for collecting posts and links. You can also drive the whole workflow from Claude, ChatGPT, or Cursor via ViralNote's native MCP server (15 tools).
Unlike clip-only tools (Opus Clip, Submagic, Vizard) or scheduler-only tools (Buffer, Later, Hootsuite), ViralNote handles the entire record-to-published workflow in one subscription, starting at $18/mo with a 7-day free trial.

Coming from a video editing background, Descript might take some getting used to. But once you figure it out, it speeds up your editing (especially interviews/long-form voiceover). The captions are very nice to work with, but a bit limited in terms of styles. There are a lot more caption styles, transitions, and effects in CapCut, but Descript excels in simplicity and speed.
The saved layouts (you can make your own) are very good if you want to create a bunch of videos on different topics with the same design scheme or branding.
Based on our record, Descript seems to be more popular. It has been mentiond 12 times since March 2021. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
For transcripts, I use Descript. Descript is able to identify all four of our panel members, and I usually spend an hour or so cleaning it up and setting the transcript into a video for YouTube. Source: over 3 years ago

I tried to use descript.com but found out that they didn't have a download for Linux and that their online version doesn't allow you to edit your transcript. Source: almost 4 years ago
