CavalryThis is such a wonderful abd helpful game-making platform, even for the beginners. And i know and I've played in the several games ,for example, which were made so thoroughly and carefully and also simply by using โUNITYโ . So the game quality is just a matter of the programmer's skill,i think.
Based on our record, Unity should be more popular than Cavalry. It has been mentiond 209 times since March 2021. We are tracking product recommendations and mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you identify which product is more popular and what people think of it.
For game engines, Godot was too young, Unity just released a statement to make the developers give them more money, so we were left with Unreal Engine. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago
After 10 minutes of digging I managed to find one single screenshot of an actual game built with it. Isn't that the first thing a developer wants to see? https://unity.com/ leads with demos. https://kaijuengine.org/ leads with a block of text claiming it renders cubes faster than Unity. - Source: Hacker News / 7 months ago
Rapidly prototype characters, environments, and textures. In addition, developers use generators to iterate concept art before committing to 3D assets. See how engines like Unity integrate generated assets into pipelines: https://unity.com. - Source: dev.to / 9 months ago
This guide is tailored towards Unity 3D but you can use them for other engines as they are pretty much general. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
When it comes to game development, platforms like Unity, Unreal Engine, and Godot are definitely dominating the scene. They offer tools specifically designed for different needs, whether you're working on mobile and VR/AR projects, aiming for AAA titles, or focusing on indie and 2D games. These platforms provide intuitive user interfaces, extensive platform support, advanced rendering capabilities, and built-in... - Source: dev.to / about 1 year ago
I get that Flash hit a sweet spot. I'm not sure I get why nothing has really replaced it. There are other apps that give you animated vector graphics, in an IDE, with coding. Here's 2? https://rive.app/editor https://cavalry.scenegroup.co/ I believe Unity doesn't do flash style vector animations. It will take in SVGs, turn them into meshes and apply skeletons. That said, it has replaced Flash in turns of the 1000s... - Source: Hacker News / 5 months ago
Motion design can be done through plenty of softwares. Blender, Cavalry, Davinci Resolve โฆ to name a few. But the market monopoly stands with After Effects (AE). AE is irreplaceable. People will talk about all the alternatives, including free and open-source alternatives, but none come close. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
You may want to edit your list to remove Figma since the Adobe acquisition is no longer happening :) And perhaps a combination of https://cavalry.scenegroup.co and https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/fusion could be After Effects alternatives. I haven't made the switch yet due to the number of AE plugins I own, but perhaps this most recent Adobe gaffe will do it for me. - Source: Hacker News / about 2 years ago

Ive used Cavalry, a new (mostly free) 2D animation app. Combined with VOID, a new (free demo) visual software. Source: over 3 years ago
