Social recommendations and mentions

We have tracked the following product recommendations or mentions on various public social media platforms and blogs. They can help you see what people think about Cavalry and what they use it for.
  • Adobe users are outraged over vague new policy's AI implications
You may want to edit your list to remove Figma since the Adobe acquisition is no longer happening :) And perhaps a combination of https://cavalry.scenegroup.co and https://www.blackmagicdesign.com/products/fusion could be After Effects alternatives. I haven't made the switch yet due to the number of AE plugins I own, but perhaps this most recent Adobe gaffe will do it for me. - Source: Hacker News / 7 months ago
  • 36 Days of Type — C (Cavalry)
Https://cavalry.scenegroup.co/ (according to OP). Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Experiment #1
Ive used Cavalry, a new (mostly free) 2D animation app. Combined with VOID, a new (free demo) visual software. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • After Effects getting progressively slower
Really depends on your workflow, but Im currently using Motion for 2D animation/"animated graphics design", managed to set up all my common lower thirds and transitions to Fusion templates in Resolve. I hear good things about apps like Cavalry(https://cavalry.scenegroup.co/ ), though it has a paid subscription tier so it's not that much of a win in a professional setting. • Has the Houdini family been playing with Cavalry?
I've dreamt of a "Houdini for 2D." This new program Cavalry seems to be addressing that market. Like a more procedural After Effects. Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Experimental and obscure graphic design tools?
If you want to try out some 2d motion graphics that isn’t After Effects you should check out Cavalry — Bit of a learning curve but it can do some powerful stuff. Free to download for most features in it too. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Is there any way to automate renders taking data from websites?
Templater would be best, I think, combined with other plugins and workarounds? But there might be a different approach, for example using Cavalary app, instead of After Effects. This way you could import Google Sheets into your animation? Source: about 2 years ago
  • I made an animation in PowerPoint... Help
Maybe check out Cavalry. They have a free model. I haven’t dove into too much myself but I’ve seen some great work come out of it. https://cavalry.scenegroup.co. Source: about 2 years ago
  • To switch or not to switch?
After Effects is a more difficult one. It is the lone industry standard. If you need to exchange project files with anyone else, you need After Effects. Calvary is a more affordable subscription if you need more graphics power than Resolve. Apple Motion is $49 one-time, but you're on a PC. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Where do I even start to make some thinking like this?
Also worth a look https://cavalry.scenegroup.co cavalry is like Houdini for 2D (ive heard it called twodini). Source: about 2 years ago
  • I created a phone holder for NYC citibikes
For purely 2D animation and motion graphics though, I'd maybe look at Cavalry as an interesting non-Adobe alternative. Source: about 2 years ago
  • November "What Editorial Software should I start using" thread. Meant for people figuring out the "base" tools to use.
Calvary (free tier) - This is a dynamic cross platform motion graphic tool that has a very powerful free tier. Source: about 2 years ago
  • Trimming the Adobe fat
Shape layer and cool 2D graphic effects replacement = https://cavalry.scenegroup.co. Source: over 2 years ago
  • BMO downgrades Adobe, says there are long-term concerns on durability of Creative Cloud:
Cavalry is a damn fine AE replacement. Source: over 2 years ago
  • motion design platform?
Free software for animation could be Cavalry https://cavalry.scenegroup.co/. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Would these lines have to be animated individually?
Maybe Calvary Https://cavalry.scenegroup.co. Source: over 2 years ago
  • Looking for an "easy" way to sync audio and video
So does Calvary (it's own software) - this has a free tier. Source: over 2 years ago
  • SVG animation apps
Https://cavalry.scenegroup.co/. (Free pay for pro). Source: over 2 years ago
  • What software should I use for motion graphic?
Cavalry is relatively young, yet quite interesting for Motion Graphics, and there is a very capable free version available: https://cavalry.scenegroup.co. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • Can you run After Effects?
You can use alternatives that will work with SteamOS like Davinci Resolve, NUKE, Blender, BlackMagic FUSION, Cavalry, Enve, Natron, Hitfilm, ... Or you can install Windows and use Adobe. Source: almost 3 years ago
  • any after effects alternative for a low end pc?
Try Cavalry 2D : https://cavalry.scenegroup.co. Source: almost 3 years ago
