I really felt you when you said when you told your cat you would take her to the vet. I done the same thing with my cats. I'm not going through Pawp but they might be good to look into they're lower end pricing maybe 20$ a month?; https://pawp.com/ And don't cover a TON but even if you save 500$ for example through them or whatever it is, it's still quite a bit you don't have to deal with.
