We run a large TypeScript monorepo at Trigger.dev. PostgreSQL, Redis, ClickHouse, a Remix web app, multiple internal packages. When we tried worktrees for parallel Claude Code sessions, we spent more time on setup than shipping code. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
Cloudflare, Azure, and Vercel are offering Durable Workflows. But also businesses like Temporal.io and Inngest build their business around them. Trigger.dev is an open source library for TypeScript apps (I am a fan ๐) that also offers a nice UI for them. - Source: dev.to / 7 months ago
We built an execution engine ourselves https://github.com/simstudioai/sim/tree/main/apps/sim/executor and for the infra for background jobs, we use https://trigger.dev/. - Source: Hacker News / 7 months ago
Hi HN, Iโm Eric, CTO at Trigger.dev (https://trigger.dev). We provide everything needed to create production-grade agents in your codebase and deploy, run, monitor, and debug them. You can use just our primitives or combine with tools like Mastra, LangChain and Vercel AI SDK. You can self-host or use our cloud, where we take care of scaling for you. Technically its performance is a bit slower than CachyOS, and some of the package versions can be a bit behind as well (like Mesa or the kernel), which can contribute to the slowness. Flatpaks work fine though for the most part. I would recommend CachyOS if you're after raw performance and you're technically inclined, and don't mind ocassionally going into the terminal to fix something or do some maintenance... - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
Another Nix based alternative.. https://flox.dev/. - Source: Hacker News / 10 months ago
- `flox activate` -> get to work The reason we call these "environments" instead of "developer environments" is that what we provide is a generalization of developer environments, so they're useful in more than just local development contexts. For example, you can use Flox to replace Homebrew by creating a "default" environment in your home directory [2]. You can also bundle an environment up into a container [3]... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago
Is the objective to get inside a container to do dev stuff? Reminds me of https://www.jetify.com/devbox and https://flox.dev/. - Source: Hacker News / over 1 year ago
