OP, thereโs a website called lengusa that you can search for stuff like โdominate onโ or other words/phrases and itโll pull up examples of their use. Itโs not comprehensive and I think it mainly pulls from magazine and news articles, but itโs a good place to start when youโre not quite sure if something is common or used by native speakers.
