So I added the pdf for the player rulebook, monster manual, and command cheatsheet for the avrae discord bot found on dndbeyond.com as a tool to help run games through discord. Most anything having to do with the class and race/species you want to play in addition to some of the basic rules. dndbeyond.com/how-to-play-dnd can potentially be a great resource so long as you are playing the 5th Edition of the game. There are countless videos on YouTube around how they play at the tabletop, but I think the best place to start would actually be dndbeyond.com. You will be locked to the basics, but you can get an idea from character building there because you can create characters and see how stats impact rolls and explore class features.
