Standard Mac notes apps either bury your content behind windows or force complex formatting. Oxid Note was built specifically to float multi-window sticky notes over your active work with adjustable transparency and a smart Focus Mode that hides all window UI the moment you start typing. Plus, it’s built natively in Rust so it uses practically zero system resources.

Apple's default Stickies feel outdated, and third-party note tools often force monthly subscriptions or complex cloud setups. Oxid Note gives you a beautifully designed, distraction-free floating desktop note experience with custom themes, total privacy, and a simple one-time purchase model.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

It’s designed for Mac power users, developers, writers, and researchers who constantly copy-paste snippets, manage quick task lists, or need reference notes floating right next to their primary work area without switching tabs.

What's the story behind your product?

Oxid Note's answer:

As creators, we constantly found ourselves losing track of quick ideas or having to constantly alt-tab back to a main notes app just to read a snippet. We wanted a clean, native sticky note tool that stayed pinned above our windows without getting in the way. When we couldn't find one that was both lightweight and subscription-free, we built Oxid Note in Rust.

Oxid Note is built 100% natively for macOS using Rust and Swift to ensure near-instant startup time, minimal RAM usage, and smooth rendering on Apple Silicon (arm64).
