  • Ready to advance from Evernote, looking at Obsidian
Currently, I use Things (https://culturedcode.com/things/) for tasks and Evernote for notes, and experimented with Freeform (I love the visual aspect and simplicity). At work, I've used Notion, Mural, Miro, LucidChart, Quip, and many other collaboration-based knowledge systems. I never researched the best of personal knowledge systems until now. • Ask HN: Why did my free tools site with 600 tools make almost $0 after 2 years?
Etc... Perhaps it would be better to split out the financial tools (bonds, cagr, interest) from the programmer/text tools stuff. I do actually think online / browser based tools that people hit via search for very occasional / niche uses is a good idea, e.g.: https://everytimezone.com/. - Source: Hacker News / about 1 year ago

Funny. I came to the opposite conclusion. I kept https://everytimezone.com/ after trying parent and a few others in the thread. For eyeball time picks to drive min inconvenience for a group, every tz (after customizing for my tz of choice) was just easier. Glad to have variety in this annoying problem space; more tools hopefully mean less bad scheduling of things. - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
