StudySnag started because I was a broke student who got paid $150 for a 90 minute focus group and could not believe it was real.

I went looking for more. What I found was a mess. Every research panel runs its own site, its own signup and its own screener, and none of them talk to each other. I ended up with accounts on nine different platforms, checking all of them between classes, and still missing studies because they filled before I refreshed.

So I built the thing I wanted: one feed with every open study in it. I shared it with a few people in my program, they shared it with their friends, and it kept going from there.
