Dumbledor is live metrics for builders.

Send events with a small SDK. Signups, checkouts, page views, and custom actions land in a live stream. Dashboards cover visitors, funnels, and top pages. Uptime monitors sit next to the same charts.

Hash visitor IDs. Honor DNT if you turn it on. Keep PII out of exports. Query the same data over REST. Tracker on a CDN, ingest and query on separate hosts.

You pay for volume, not seats.

Starter: $0/mo, 10k events, 3 uptime monitors, 30-day retention. Pro: $29/mo, 500k events, 25 monitors, 90-day retention. Scale: $99/mo, 5M events, unlimited monitors, 180-day retention.

Questions & Answers

As answered by people managing Standard Notes and dumbledor.

What makes your product unique?

dumbledor's answer:

Events, dashboards, and uptime live in one product. Charts update as events arrive, not on a next-day batch. Privacy is switches on every plan: hashed IDs, optional DNT, PII kept out of exports. You pay for event volume, not seats.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

dumbledor's answer:

Live events, funnels, and monitors in one SDK, with a free Starter plan at 10k events. If a signup does not show within a minute, something is wrong, and you can see that without opening a second tool.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

dumbledor's answer:

Builders and small product teams. Solo founders, two-person studios, and early SaaS crews that need to see signups, checkouts, and downtime on the same morning. People who outgrew Google Analytics and do not want to rent an enterprise analytics suite.

What's the story behind your product?

dumbledor's answer:

Lenny and Leif run Netchase, a two-person studio in Berlin. They were shipping small products and bouncing between a traffic tool, an event tool, and an uptime tab. They built Dumbledor so their own sites had live events, dashboards, and monitors in one place, then opened it up.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

dumbledor's answer:

  • Nextjs
  • shadcn
  • tailwind
  • Postgresql
  • redis
  • docker
  • nodejs
  • typescript

  • Customer Update on Simplenote
I can recommend Standard Notes as an alternative. https://standardnotes.com/ Works well on all paltforms, desktop and mobile. The sync works also great. It also backs up to text files on your computer, so that you can back up your files with your regular backup process and you can also easily move away if you would like to one day. - Source: Hacker News / 6 months ago
