-Industry innovators โ Those seeking to disrupt traditional industries with marketplace models. -Service and product aggregators โ Businesses wanting to sell both goods and services on a single platform. -Niche marketplace founders โ Entrepreneurs building specialised marketplaces, such as AirParlour (hair professionals) and WorkVans (commercial vehicle rentals). -Established companies โ Businesses expanding into marketplace models to drive growth. -Tech-savvy teams โ Those needing API flexibility for custom integrations and scalability.
Markko's answer:
Markko was created to empower entrepreneurs and businesses to launch and scale marketplaces with ease. The founders saw a gap in the marketโexisting marketplace solutions were often rigid, slow to launch, or limited in functionality. Many platforms forced businesses into strict models, either focusing only on goods or services, without the flexibility to combine both.
Recognising this, Markko was built as a hybrid marketplace SaaS that enables businesses to sell both products and services on a single platform. The goal was to remove technical barriers and give marketplace founders the tools to launch, customise, and scale quickly.
Since its launch, Markko has powered diverse marketplaces, from AirParlour (connecting hair professionals with clients) to WorkVans (commercial vehicle rentals), proving its adaptability across industries. With continuous innovation, like the upcoming API release, Markko is shaping the future of online marketplaces.
Markko's answer:

Django needs a marketing push. I opened the website and immediately it smells like a 2011 web framework. Like CakePHP. Like Zend. Like Kohana. The site makes the project feel extremely dated, which of course I have no idea how true that is, I've never used Django! Just my 2c from an outsider. I compare it to Phoenix and Rails. (again, talking PURELY marketing here dudes!) https://www.phoenixframework.org/... - Source: Hacker News / 8 months ago
