Phoenix is a framework for Elixir, the same way Rails is a framework for Ruby. Its mission is to be a productive framework that doesn't compromise on speed or maintainability. - Source: dev.to / 4 months ago

"Empty barrels always make the most sound" says my co-national Alborosie in Poser, and I thought this would not apply to DHH, the creator of Ruby on Rails, because he is not only noisy about his opinions, he is friggin loud as f***. - Source: dev.to / 7 months ago

Django needs a marketing push. I opened the website and immediately it smells like a 2011 web framework. Like CakePHP. Like Zend. Like Kohana. The site makes the project feel extremely dated, which of course I have no idea how true that is, I've never used Django! Just my 2c from an outsider. I compare it to Phoenix and Rails. I'm posting this off a 2009 Samsung NC10 Netbook running antiX linux 26[1] (32 bit, debian Trixie packages but an older 5.10 series kernel) and it has Abiword running, with ROXterm and Firefox with BBC News in the other tab. The netbook has a mechanical hard drive and a gig of ram and a small but not outrageous keyboard. It jogs along OK. I dug it out of the cupboard when I saw this post. Not a snappy experience... - Source: Hacker News / about 1 month ago
> Proudly anti-fascist "antiX Magic" in an environment suitable for old and new computers. AntiX looks like a cool project, but the one place I don't want to see any kind of politics is in my OS [1]. I don't want my distro taking a stance on Israel vs Palestine, or Ukraine vs Russia, for example. [1] https://antixlinux.com/. - Source: Hacker News / 11 months ago
ThinkPad keyboards? Just plain amazing. Typing on one feels so good, whether youโre writing essays, coding, or idk writing an angry reddit rant about some SAAS product you didn't like, and the battery life holds up, especially with lightweight operating systems like AntiXLinux. Sure, youโll need to do a bit of research to pick the right model, but once you do, youโre set and as per the people at r/thinkpad, the... - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago

Many more, but those are all too distro-specific, meaning 'family' and associated administration and packaging tools, default choices for desktop-environment, and whatnot else. Which teaches you almost nothing about 'Linux', but the specific choices of that 'distribution', and all the baggage... - Source: Hacker News / over 2 years ago
Maybe try installing a different distro, as it could be an issue with the installer. EXE GNU/Linux is very similar to Q4OS Trinity, alternatively there's antiX, for example. You would at least be able to see if it's a general problem or just one installer. Source: over 2 years ago
