Retool DescriptComing from a video editing background, Descript might take some getting used to. But once you figure it out, it speeds up your editing (especially interviews/long-form voiceover). The captions are very nice to work with, but a bit limited in terms of styles. There are a lot more caption styles, transitions, and effects in CapCut, but Descript excels in simplicity and speed.

For transcripts, I use Descript. Descript is able to identify all four of our panel members, and I usually spend an hour or so cleaning it up and setting the transcript into a video for YouTube. Source: over 3 years ago
