What makes your product unique?

Resettle's answer

It learns on its own. There is no layout to build and save, which is how every other window manager works: Resettle watches where your windows sit on each display setup and puts them back when that setup returns. It remembers a minimized window too, with the frame it goes back to, and any restore can be undone.

Why should a person choose your product over its competitors?

Resettle's answer

Most window managers restore from a layout you save by hand, so anything you have rearranged since comes back the way it was months ago. Snapping tools such as Rectangle and Magnet do nothing at all when a display changes. Resettle is for the moment itself: a monitor is unplugged, docked or woken, macOS piles every window onto one screen, and the arrangement you had comes back without you touching anything.

How would you describe the primary audience of your product?

Resettle's answer

Anyone who uses a Mac with more than one display: a laptop that docks at a desk, a desk with an external monitor, a setup that changes through the day. In practice, developers and designers who keep ten windows arranged across two or three screens and lose that arrangement every time a monitor comes or goes.

What's the story behind your product?

Resettle's answer

macOS keeps no memory of where windows were. Unplug a monitor and it moves everything onto the laptop; plug it back in and nothing returns. A small annoyance that costs a few minutes every single time it happens. Resettle exists to take that moment away, without asking anyone to build layouts or write rules first.

Which are the primary technologies used for building your product?

Resettle's answer

Swift, with SwiftUI and AppKit for the interface and the macOS Accessibility API to read and move other apps' windows. Updates ship through Sparkle. Payments and licensing run through Dodo Payments.
