Pragmatic Event Scout is a filterable catalog of 18,000+ trade fairs worldwide, each with a live list of the companies exhibiting at it (~590,000 companies mapped so far).
Choosing a trade show normally costs days of research across dozens of organizer sites in as many languages, and still ends with teams re-booking last year's shows or paying for a booth at a "flagship international event" that turns out to be 40 exhibitors in a regional hall.
Every exhibitor, visitor and floor-area figure is labelled a confirmed count or a modelled estimate, and each event carries a data-quality score. Thin records are hidden by default, so you always know which figures to trust and which to check with the organizer.
A read-only MCP server exposes the catalog to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini and Copilot. Ask "which fairs does ABB exhibit at next year?" or "flagship packaging shows in Germany with 500+ exhibitors."
Country, event and venue pages are free to browse. Search, filtering, export and MCP access need a subscription (from ~€259/yr single seat, ~€1199/yr for a company domain), with a free trial.

Pragmatic Event Scout's answer
Three things. First, it kills the research tax. Choosing which trade fairs are worth your budget normally means days spread across dozens of organizer sites in as many languages, and you still end up rebooking last year's shows. Here it is one catalog of 18,000+ fairs with filters that adapt to each field: exhibitor and visitor ranges, date windows, sector and country sets, scale tiers. Layer them, sort them, save the search, and a week of research becomes about ten minutes. Each show also carries its exhibitor list, roughly 590,000 companies mapped, so picking a fair doubles as account research.
Second, it speaks MCP. Connect it once to Claude, ChatGPT, Gemini or Copilot and query the whole catalog conversationally: "which fairs does ABB exhibit at next year", "flagship packaging shows in Germany with 500+ exhibitors". Read-only, OAuth, no API key to manage. As far as we know it is the only trade fair database you can ask in plain language from the assistant you already use.
Third, the price. €259 a year for a seat, €1,199 a year for an entire company domain, published on the site, buyable without a sales call. Tools in this category are usually sold on annual contracts through a demo and a quote. We would rather you just try it; there is a 7-day money-back guarantee.
Pragmatic Event Scout's answer
Because it is a research layer, not a lead database, and that is deliberate. We do not sell contact records, draft outreach or push to your CRM. If you want those, buy a tool that does them well; we export cleanly to whatever you already use. What we do is answer which fairs deserve your budget and who will be on the floor.
On catalog size, some competitors advertise far larger event counts. Those numbers usually include webinars, conferences and meetups. Ours are trade fairs with venues, dates and exhibitor directories, and we hide thin records rather than counting them. We would rather have 18,000 you can act on than 160,000 you have to filter.
And you can evaluate it today. No demo, no quote, no procurement cycle.
Pragmatic Event Scout's answer
Four groups. Field and event marketing teams deciding where to spend booth budget. Sales development and BDR teams who want a list of companies with demonstrated budget and intent in their market. Competitive and market intelligence teams tracking where rivals appear and which regions they are entering. And agencies running event strategy for several clients at once. A fifth group buys the single seat outright: founders of small B2B companies who do their own go-to-market and feel the research cost personally.
Pragmatic Event Scout's answer
We built it for ourselves. Our growth channel for another product is walking trade fair floors and talking to exhibitors, and the hard part was never the conversations, it was working out which fairs were worth the trip and who would actually be there. That meant days of research across dozens of organizer sites in as many languages, and we still got it wrong sometimes. So we built the catalog we wanted, kept using it, and eventually decided other people would rather buy it than rebuild it. We still use it every week for our own prospecting, which is why the exhibitor data matters more to us than the event count.
Pragmatic Event Scout's answer
Large-scale crawling and AI-based normalisation of official event and exhibitor directories, LLM-assisted extraction and company enrichment, third-party company data for firmographics, a statically generated front end, and a read-only MCP server over Streamable HTTP with OAuth for AI assistant access.
