I had to do this for a job a few years ago. I created a sandbox version of the site on pantheon.io and removed all editing permissions. On additional discovery that they only needed the static content, I created a static site using SiteSucker (mac app store). They were able to put this folder on their local machine to access anytime. Alternatives were Rows and Airtable. Rows tends to be better at calculation, while Airtable tends to be better at storing and sorting data as a database. I was not aware of the open-source alternative called Baserow at the time. [Baserow], [APITable], [Grist], and [Rowy] are all open source Airtable alternatives which offer hosted SaaS versions that include API access, though it's a bit difficult to compare the API rate limits across all these products. Self-hosting an app like this would allow you to bypass API rate limits altogether, if you're open to it.
