  • A list of SaaS, PaaS and IaaS offerings that have free tiers of interest to devops and infradev
Pantheon.io — Drupal and WordPress hosting, automated DevOps, and scalable infrastructure. Free for developers and agencies. No custom domain. - Source: dev.to / 3 months ago
  • Simple auth + consumers
Creating an account at pantheon.io (its free) and setting up a base install of a drupal 10 site there, learning how you can use their git repo to work with your code base, and hosting the site there. (sandbox environments are free). Source: 10 months ago
  • What are web developers and agencies using to build their clients sites?
I run a majority of my client work on pantheon.io - you can read a case study of a high traffic site I launched there, 9 years ago, that handled a homepage link from nytimes.com with zero problems https://pantheon.io/blog/tavern-green-gets-details-right-pro-website-alphex-pantheon. Source: 11 months ago
  • Best CMS, Plug-ins, etc for directory site with saved user favorites
Regardless of which way you go,yYou can give it all a try for free by creating an account on Pantheon, which will let you spin up a free Drupal sandbox site, as well as a free WordPress sandbox site. Source: about 1 year ago
  • need ongoing access to revisions from old drupal 7 site
I had to do this for a job a few years ago. I created a sandbox version of the site on pantheon.io and removed all editing permissions. On additional discovery that they only needed the static content, I created a static site using SiteSucker (mac app store). They were able to put this folder on their local machine to access anytime. • free-for.dev
Pantheon.io — Drupal and WordPress hosting, automated DevOps and scalable infrastructure. Free for developers and agencies. - Source: dev.to / over 1 year ago
  • Hosting a Drupal headless instance
I am considering my options for hosting a headless Drupal instance. Unfortunately, I am not, by all means, expert in Drupal. So far, we heard https://pantheon.io as a recommended option but I haven't really dig into it yet... It seems like a very cool option, but I'd like to hear if you have any reservations/cons about it. • Ask HN: Who is hiring? (June 2022)
Pantheon (https://pantheon.io) | Remote Full-time | US Timezones Pantheon’s WebOps Platform powers the open web, running sites in the cloud for customers including Stitch Fix, Okta, Home Depot, Pernod Ricard and The Barack Obama Foundation. Every day, thousands of developers and marketers create, iterate, and scale websites on the open web to reach billions of people globally. Pantheon’s SaaS model puts large and... - Source: Hacker News / almost 2 years ago
  • Pantheon.io Platform
Hi, can someone explain https://pantheon.io/ - just like what their product is and the market they are in and why a developer would use it, maybe in lamest terms? Source: almost 2 years ago
  • Need an Efficient Writing Stack and Workflow for a Tech Newsletter or Blog? Voilà.
For hosting, we recommend Platform.sh, Pantheon, or Acquia. - Source: dev.to / almost 2 years ago
  • Enterprise-Grade WordPress Hosting
Https://kinsta.com/features/ could be a consideration, or https://pantheon.io/. Both are more serious than your average managed WP hosting, though both likely do still focus more on performance than security. But those would be two of my top recommendations in your situation. • IS WordPress Horizontally Scalable ? If yes then How ?
Also, you can always go for managed WP hosting from a service provider of repute who can take care of all your scaling needs. WordPress VIP, WP Engine, Pantheon.io are some of the known names in the game when it comes to managed WordPress hosting which scales. Source: about 2 years ago
  • What does "Experience administering enterprise WordPress web hosting solutions" means?
Pantheon strikes me as the closest thing to enterprise-level hosting. I have personally seen a MASSIVE WordPress multi-site for an auto dealership chain hosted on Pantheon. Source: about 2 years ago
  • How to take back website from web developer?
If I were in your position, I would find a Wordpress hosting company that lets you have free “sandbox” sites (basically, you can’t set up your official domain or have search engines index the site until you start paying them, but you can visit the site and make sure that everything works in that new environment before terminating your relationship with the original dev). I personally like Pantheon, and I think a... Source: over 2 years ago
  • Free for dev - list of software (SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, etc.)
Pantheon.io — Drupal and WordPress hosting, automated DevOps and scalable infrastructure. Free for developers and agencies. - Source: dev.to / almost 3 years ago
  • From Drupal 7 to Drupal 8 + Gatsby.JS
Use something like Pantheon - it comes with automatic core updates, however this still leaves room for contributed modules or plugins if you’re using Wordpress, which can also act as an attack vector. - Source: dev.to / almost 3 years ago
  • WordPress is 18
Https://pantheon.io/ has WordPress plans with dev/staging/prod sites integrated with git. I would highly recommend trying their system out rather than trying to figure out how to make WP cooperate on your own. Don't try to use WP for anything involving a lot of programming. It will just hold you back. Use it for projects simple enough that you don't mind writing a few MySQL DDL statements with DIY migrations. - Source: Hacker News / almost 3 years ago
  • Multi Tenant strategy for single hosted instance.
Or you can do like https://pantheon.io/ does with their multitenancy, and give every tenant prefixed subdomains at a single level, which works with a single global wildcard cert, e.g. *.company.com, and tenants get tenant.company.com and api-tenant.company.com. You just need to be smart about prefixing those names so you avoid collisions. Source: about 3 years ago
  • I am very new to web dev, so I apologize if this question is a bit daft. If I make a project on VScode with HTML and CSS, where and how would I post it online for others to see?
Closest thing I've come across is https://pantheon.io/ but you can't hook up your own domain or have large traffic on the free tier so might not be useful. Source: about 3 years ago
