Byte8 grew out of Soft Commerce, a London Magento agency running and deploying stores since 2012. Deploying Magento traditionally meant a frozen terminal, a maintenance window, and hoping setup:upgrade didn't lock the database for too long. We built Orbit to make zero-downtime deploys boring and safe — atomic, forecasted, auto-rolling-back — and turned that internal tooling into a product.
